Pewaukee Lake Family Photos | Milwaukee Family Photographer | Erin Harris

I had the pleasure of photographing this darling family in late August at their family lake home in Pewaukee.  Brynn and I have known each other since college but I'm fairly certain I haven't seen her since then. She looks exactly the same as she did then, so it goes without saying that she looks amazing. Her sweet little blondies just melted my heart with their playful personalities and adorable smiles and her daughter is her spitting image. Her son and mine were actually born just one day apart and from what I hear, they have very similar personalities. Perhaps they would be best buddies if Brynn's adorable family didn't live all the way across the country in San Fran.  Brynn, it was lovely to see you again and to meet your beautiful family.  I hope you love these images as much as I do.

Emily & Erik | Third Ward Engagement Photos | Milwaukee Photographer

Sometimes we find love in the strangest of places and sometimes we find it when we didn't even know we were looking for it...and its right there, staring us in the face.  For Emily and Erik, who have known each other since they were kids, it was just that. They met when they were young at a family gathering and are not even sure exactly when they met. They've seen pictures that they are both in and don't even remember being in the same place at the same time. But one day, love came along and just knocked them off their feet. Their love story began when Emily said yes to going out with Erik one night.  Then one night soon became another and another and most recently, Emily said yes to becoming his wife. Now Emily and Erik are planning a backyard wedding at his parent's home but for their engagement session we settled on a more urban locale, the Historic Third Ward. As we meandered up and down the streets and alleyways, the weather was perfect, the sunlight was magical and the story of their love unfolded before me.

Cedarburg Senior Photos {Milwaukee Senior Portrait Photographer}

It was so nice to meet this sweet Senior a couple weeks ago.  Megan is the sister of one of my coworkers, whose adorable family I photographed earlier this summer. I love when I get referred by families to their extended family and when I get to see the same families time and time again. I even got to see the little guy again and photograph him with his auntie! Megan, it was lovely to meet you and I wish you all the best as you finish high school and embark on a new adventure.

Doctor's Park Senior Photos {Milwaukee Senior Portrait Photographer}

A few years ago I took photos of my nephew for his senior portrait.  He was always pretty shy around me but that day he really came out of his shell and his personality shined which made me realize how much I love working with high school seniors.  Its such an exciting time in life...ending one chapter and starting another while discovering who you are and who you want to be.

Below are some images from my most recent senior session. Jake is the son of a co-worker of mine and I was honored that she asked me to take his photos. I really enjoyed hearing about his travels around the country and to Africa for service projects and habitat for humanity.  Such a nice reminder that we should all reach out in service to others. I also got to meet his sweet girlfriend, Kelsey, a gorgeous girl who attends Marquette University. It was fun to capture them together too.  Such a darling couple. Best wishes to you both in your future travels...around the world and in life.

The Jubelirer Lovlies {Milwaukee Family Photographer}

This is Shelly, my dear friend and world's greatest art teacher.  It warms my heart that she will be my own children's art teacher. They already adore her like I do and Lucia even colored a rainbow on the wall, yes, THE WALL, that she said she made for Mrs. Jubelirer. Last weekend, I was lucky enough to photograph her perfectly lovely family and YES, they are as cool as they look and as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. I adore Shelly for the following reasons:

1. She is an incredible friend.
2. She loves photos.
3. She rocks some red glasses.

There are SO many more reasons but I don't want her head to get big. :)

So, on to their loveliness...

**A special thanks to my friend, Teddy, for letting us use his beautiful home for these and these and these photos.
